Health Care Delivery Models and Nursing Practice

According to Barton (2017), health care reforming is the process of making significant changes in health care systems in order to upgrade the health of American citizens. The value of healthcare reforming helps in addressing healthcare quality and cost issues, and improving the accessibility of healthcare services, and removing poor services from the systems. This paper will however assess some significant changes initiated to restructure the United State health care delivery system. These systems are facing widespread and total restructuring aimed at reducing the cost and improving the healthcare value. In recent times, Obama regime introduced Affordable Care Act with total reform of making healthcare accessible to all United States citizens.  However, the healthcare reform through policy legislation is being initiated to reform some parts of healthcare systems in order to improve access and delivery of quality care to the resident of United Sates citizen (Barton, 2017).

Ever since the beginning of Trump administration, the administration has fixed its eyes on repealing the Affordable Care Act, and since the change has been implemented, a lot of reactions came up (McCarthy, 2017). President Obama believed that this move has not been only irrational, but also dangerous during this administration.  Conversely, this change affected the health care professionals including nurses (Kantarjian, 2016). Since the inception of Trump’s American Health Care Act, legislators have been coming up with laws to upgrade the status of the nursing industry in United States.  An important one is an HR bill by David Joyce which is H.R. 728 or the Title ‘VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act of 2019  which aim to upgrade the nursing education, practice, and retention, and this provides programs that upgrade  the delivery of nursing service along with the well-being of American nurses . The inception of Affordable Care Act results in significant changes in many aspects of United States healthcare.
