The Description of Banner Health:

Based on my findings, experience has shown that this organization is one of the well-known entities that focuses its attention on emergency and healthcare services, hospice, long-term/home care, outpatient surgery, labs, rehabilitation services, pharmacies, and primary care.

This organization was founded in the year 1999 through a merging effort between Lutheran Health System and Samaritan Health System. According to Kuhn and Lehn (2015), the organization sold its operations in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, and South Dakota, and established its sole headquarters in Phoenix in the year 2001 (Kuhn and Lehn, 2015). Banner healthcare settings provide exceptional services through their medical experts, such as organ transplants, multiple-birth deliveries, behavioral health services, and rehabilitation services. According to Kuhn, B. and Lehn, C. (2015), Banner Health is one of the leading non-profit health organizations in the United States of America. Thus, it focuses on its mission of making quality healthcare accessible to people based on its flexibility. Additionally, it provides quality healthcare services to communities without expecting profits (Kuhn and Lehn, 2015).

Organization’s Overall Readiness:

Banner Health is prepared to apply a model called value-based reimbursement in preparation to attain a level to meet the provision of healthcare needs of the citizens in the next ten years.
